What makes Heather Lodge so special is the size of the resort, with only 12 charmingly appointed studios. Heather Lodge has also been an accredited member of Ontario’s Finest Inns and Resorts of Ontario since 2014. Rooms for all seasons offer four styles of accommodation to suit your needs. Our guest’s suites are the finest in Haliburton Highlands, reflecting the best combination of traditional Canadian Lodge décor with the finest in contemporary conveniences, thus providing a truly comfortable and relaxing retreat. We have considered all sorts of ways to make your stay both relaxing and comfortable, whether it be for just a couple of days or a week long.
To provide you with total comfort, each suite features a king-size bed fitted with luxurious linens. For your convenience, all suites are lavishly equipped, including a bar fridge, a Nespresso coffee maker, fresh creamers, full satellite TV and DVD player, chenille bathrobes, hair dryer, sustainable toiletries, WIFI, and comfortable furnishings. We haven’t forgotten wine glasses, corkscrews, iron board/iron, extra blankets, and pillows in each room. The two buildings are two levels separate from the Main Inn, offering accessible rooms on lower levels, all with their own private entrance.
Coming in January! "New" Hot Tub Studio
Formally known as the Courtyard Studio 9 & 10, currently being renovated to become our new Hot Tub Studio accommodation. The interior of the room will be freshly painted with a installation of a electric fireplace, a larger flat screen tv and decor updates.
We have ordered two Beachcomber 2 person Hot Tubs ~ featuring compact luxury hydrotherapeutic and liquid chair with deep bucket seating for two arranged private to each individual room with privacy walls and complete with an outdoor sitting area!!!
Another option for couples interested in a romantic, soothing experience after a adventurous day outdoor with year round activities!

Lakeview Studio
Heather Lodge’s Lakeside Studio suites are a favorite with guests and provide a magnificent view of beautiful Twelve Mile Lake. All Lakeside Studios feature cozy wood burning fireplaces (we will provide a pre-fab fire log once per day, more can be purchased for $6.50 per log) that create a romantic and inviting ambiance – especially nice on a chilly winter’s eve. The Lakeside Studio’s private balcony overlooks Twelve Mile Lake, the perfect spot to enjoy all the beauty of the Highlands with a morning coffee or a glass of wine before dinner. Lakeview Studios are furnished with a King bed, table and chairs and come equipped with a compact fridge, coffee maker, satellite TV and DVD player and air conditioning. For the best view, we recommend the top floor rooms, however the three rooms on ground level offer accessibility with a board walk entrance and hand rails in the bathroom. These rooms don’t last long, being the most popular so be sure to book in advance.
Courtyard Studio
The Courtyard Studio are our standard accommodation, situated beside Heather Lodge’s beautiful entrance gardens, please note they do not have a view of the lake. These suites boasts King bed, inviting lounge chairs, small bar fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, satellite TV and DVD player. These rooms are equipped with a four piece bathroom, includes sustainable amenities, chenille bathrobes, fluffy towels, hairdryer and air conditioning. These two rooms are located on the upper level and does not have much of sitting deck- for two couples traveling together, you can rent the two that adjoining rooms would provide the ideal accommodation. Very comfortable, quiet and clean.
Deluxe Studio
Naturally, our finest guest room at Heather Lodge is our beautiful Deluxe Studio suite. Tastefully furnished with upgraded furniture and décor, a King bed, two person cuddle chair, a table & chair sitting area and come equipped with a compact fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, satellite TV and DVD player. Additionally, this room is stocked with sustainable amenities, chenille bathrobes, fluffy towels, makeup mirror, hairdryer and air conditioning ensures guests a very comfortable stay. Additional elements of luxury such as a romantic whirlpool tub with separate shower in the bathroom to ensure a memorable stay. Privately situated on the top floor at the back of the building, the Deluxe Studio suite offers guests a partial Lakeview of Twelve Mile Lake from its spacious and secluded, shaded deck.
